Measuring instructions for sets and dresses from Frenzy+ store
To choose the perfect size in our plus size collection, you just need 60 seconds and a measuring tape.
Step 1: Bust Circumference
- Stand straight, relax your shoulders.
- Wrap the tape around the widest part of your bust.
- For dresses with necklines: add 2 cm to avoid feeling "tight".
Dla sukienek z dekoltem: dodaj 2 cm, aby uniknąć uczucia „ciasności”.
Step 2: Waist Circumference
- Find your natural waist, the narrowest point between bust and hips.
- Lightly tighten the tape (but not too much!), this is a key measurement for fitting belts and fitted styles.
Tip: If you don't have a defined waist, measure where you usually wear your pants.
Step 3: Hip Circumference
- Place the tape at the widest part of your hips (usually 18-23 cm below the waist).
- Make sure the tape also includes your buttocks – this ensures freedom of movement in dresses and pants.
Step 4: Length (legs/dresses)
- For dresses: Measure from the base of your neck to desired length (e.g., to knees, ankles).
- For dresses: Measure from the base of your neck to desired length (e.g., to knees, ankles).

Fitting Tips for Different Body Types
Styling for Your Body Type
At Frenzy+ we know that plus size means many beautiful shapes, so we select styles for your unique body type. Here are our proven tricks!
Apple Type (wider waist, slender legs)
- • Dresses with deep necklines and wide bottoms draw attention away from the belly and highlight the bust.
- Unikaj obcisłych pasów. Luźny krój w okolicach brzucha optycznie wysmukla górną część ciała.
• Avoid tight belts. Loose cut around the belly optically slims the upper body.
- • Dresses with flared bottoms balance proportions between hips and bust.
- • High-waisted pants with straight legs slim the silhouette.
Hourglass Type (defined waist, hips = bust)
- • Clothes fitted at the waist (e.g., pencil, with boning) highlight natural curves.
- • Emphasizing the waist with fitted cut or belt exposes natural body proportions.
Rectangle Type (hips ≈ shoulders, less defined waist)
- • Dresses with gathering or ties at the waist add feminine shapes to the silhouette.
- • High-waisted pants optically slim the figure.
Common Fitting Problems
Problem 1: "My bust is much wider than my waist"
Our solution:
- • Dresses with under-bust cuts emphasize the waist without pressing the chest.
- • Dresses with adjustable straps balance proportions.
Problem 2: "Clothes are too loose at the waist but tight at the hips"
Our solution:
- • Pants with soft, elastic waistband and strategic stitching at the hips.
- • A-line dresses with draping mask disproportions without restricting movement
Problem 3: "Sleeves/legs always too short or too long"
Our solution:
- • High-crotch pants, universal for figures 155-180 cm.
- • Universal length styles, like ankle cigarette pants or wide legs, which can be worn with both flat shoes and heels
Material is crucial for plus size clothing fit and comfort.
Fabrics like viscose adapt to your silhouette and ensure freedom of movement. Soft, flowing materials like linen or viscose beautifully drape on the body, masking small imperfections. Stiffer fabrics like cotton help maintain shape and highlight curves. The choice of appropriate material affects how clothing looks on your silhouette, so it's worth paying attention to its properties.
Natural fabrics like linen and cotton may shrink slightly after several washes. Materials with elastane blend better maintain their shape but may also loosen slightly over time. Knits, e.g., viscose or jersey, are more prone to stretching, especially with frequent wear. To maintain the shape of clothes, it's worth following washing and drying recommendations.
To keep clothes their size and shape, wash them at low temperature (30°C) and avoid intensive spinning. Natural fabrics like linen or cotton may shrink, so it's worth drying them flat. Elastic materials, e.g., with elastane blend, better maintain their shape if not excessively stretched during drying. Avoid tumble dryer as high temperature may affect fabric shrinking or stretching. Iron according to label recommendations to avoid material deformation.
FAQ
Should I choose a larger or smaller size if I'm between sizes?
If you prefer looser clothes, choose a larger size, and if you prefer a more fitted style – smaller. It's also worth paying attention to material elasticity, as such clothes adapt better to your silhouette.
How to check if clothes fit well?
The garment should drape freely on your body without pressing or wrinkling. Well-fitted dress or set doesn't restrict movement and highlights your best features.
What if different parts of my body fit different sizes?
If different parts of your body fit different sizes, it's worth choosing one that corresponds to the widest part of your body. Alternatively, you can opt for styles that allow adaptation to your silhouette, like dresses with adjustable waist ties or pants with elastic waistbands.
What to do if my measurements fall between two different sizes in the chart?
Choose the size that corresponds to your widest body part.
What styles do you recommend for tall/short plus size women?
For tall plus size women, we recommend styles that elongate the silhouette, such as straight-cut or A-line dresses. Long pants with straight legs also compose perfectly with larger proportions, giving an elegant look.
For short plus size women, it's worth choosing clothes that optically lengthen legs. A-shaped dresses or clothes with higher waist will help achieve a slim silhouette effect. Straight-cut pants with high waist also add height, and by avoiding too wide styles, you'll gain better proportions.
